REACH! South Africa
REACH! South Africa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sustainable, source-based preschools that uplift underserved rural communities.
At its core, the organization believes that early nurturing and education are fundamental to realizing human potential.
I partnered with REACH! South Africa to create a cohesive brand and digital experience that reflects the organization’s mission, spirit, and community impact.
Drawing inspiration from local artwork and the joy of the children it serves, I developed a visual identity and website designed to tell a meaningful story—one that connects with donors, volunteers, and partners while honoring the culture at the heart of the organization.

Project Goals
REACH! South Africa was ready to expand beyond a minimal online presence and establish a cohesive digital identity that could communicate its mission more effectively.
The goal was to create a website and visual system that would inspire donors, support collaboration, and help tell the story of the organization’s innovative preschool model and community impact.

Artwork
Original animal illustrations created by a family member within the organization were inspired by artwork painted directly onto the preschool structures.
I adapted these illustrations into a flexible digital design system by creating supporting geometric forms, patterns, and layouts that preserved the handcrafted spirit of the original artwork while making it scalable across web and marketing applications.



The Inspiration
Inspired by founders Ralph Pooler and Michelle Neal, the REACH! South Africa brand was shaped by a deep sense of purpose, creativity, and community connection. Ralph’s South African roots and artistic background, combined with Michelle’s decades of experience in early childhood education, helped define the heart of the organization.
Their vision of transforming shipping containers into vibrant preschool environments inspired a visual identity grounded in storytelling, cultural expression, and optimism. Photography capturing the children and surrounding communities, along with artwork painted directly onto the schools, became foundational elements of the brand experience and website design.
