A Hotel Transformation
DESTINATION HOTELS AND RESORTS

BACKGROUND
Branding transitions present unique challenges such as reinforcing the familiar while moving towards the new. This challenge was met with transitional branding solutions for a major downtown Seattle hotel, undergoing an exciting $25 million renovation. Digital presentations, enhanced photography, print materials, project displays, internal and external signage, and way-finding signs were crafted to create a cohesive, consistent package with a confident, reassuring look and feel for hotel guests every step of the way.

CREATIVE PROCESS & INSPIRATION

VISUAL THEMES INSPIRED BY FURNITURE, ART AND TEXTURES
The client wanted to convey the concept of a transformation as the hotel was being renovated. The marketing team had come up with the idea to use a butterfly, and they wanted to integrate patterns and textures from the design decor. I established a color palette and and creatively placed a fabric pattern into the butterfly image. The pattern became a texture that was consistent throughout all of the marketing components.
